Restaurant Management Software
The entire restaurant operation is mapped through a restaurant management software or ERP provided by PetPooja. This enables us to manage inventory, customer billing and order processing. Captain collects orders from customers at his table using a tablet device, this order goes directly to the kitchen, items are prepared live against order and once the item is ready, it is informed to the supplier for supply. Once the customer finishes eating and he requests for a bill, the bill is easily generated for exactly the items that are ordered and supplied. He can pay directly by scanning for the QR printed on Menu. Cash and bank payment received can be tallied against the sales and supply done to customers by the cashier. To enable this automation, we need a computer, thermal printers, local network and PetPooja software subscription.
CCTV Surveillance Camera
All interiors and exteriors of the restaurant are covered with 20 high density cameras and videos are recorded. They are being monitored and observed for how the staff adhere to process, any thefts, clarify incase of any confusions.
Biometric Attendance System
All employees can mark their attendance using bio metric attendance marking device. Their face or finger is detected by it and timings are taken. Their working time is calculated automatically, this time is approved by his immediate supervisor for calculating attendance.
Sewage Treatment Plant
Operations of restaurants and lodges require a tremendous amount of water (15,000 litres per day), they all go down the gutter after use. As responsible citizens on earth, they should be discharged safely back to mother earth. Hence, they are collected and sewage treated to separate out the sludge from water and release only treated water down the drainages. The sludge recovered is collected and given through tankers back to the municipality. The installation of such a plant requires a lot of investment, involvement and expenses. But we do it as a duty.
Biogas Plant
Restaurants generate a sizable amount of food waste. They are generally thrown out to the environment where they rot and stink. We instead collect them and put them into a biogas generation plant. The biogas generated is used for cooking as a renewable source instead of petroleum gas which is non renewable.
Bore-well Water Purifier
The water from the borewell may contain mud and many other impurities. They are filtered 3 times using sand, carbon and iron filters to remove impurities. Such filtered water is now safe for use in the restaurant for all purposes.
Staff Room
Employees who have come from far away places are given a place to stay and live. They are given a clean space to sleep, rack to keep their things, locker where they can keep their personal/valuable items, bathroom, toilet, stone to wash clothes, hangers to hang clothes
Office
To perform managerial, supervisory tasks outside the hustles of moving people a dedicated office room with computer, chair and tables are given. Here managers, supervisors, accountants and promoters perform their duties. This space is also used for meetings.
Kitchen Exhaust
Activities inside the kitchen generates a lot of hot gases like fumes, smoke, oil vapours etc. They should not be stuck inside kitchen nor should they go to dining hall. They have to be exhausted safely to atmosphere. We have installed Kitchen hood and blowers for this purpose. This way employees working in kitchen feel and customers in dining hall are comfortable.
Toilets
We have 2 toilets with a bathroom dedicated to gents and 2 of them dedicated to ladies. They are cleaned 3 times a day using bio-soaps. There are 2 gents urinals as well. They are located at the basement floor of the restaurant, directions are given at the entrance of the restaurant to customers.
Power Back Up – Generator & Invertor
Power backup is provided with UPS and Inverter for office, lighting and fans. A diesel generator powers all the equipment in case of power outage. Power outages happen during any repair, maintenance works by electricity boards, lightning and thunder before and after monsoons. The cost of operating a generator is 3 times more than that of an electricity board, but that is the cost of providing a smooth experience to customers.
Parking
The restaurant is located on the Puttur Mangaluru national highway and is of very convenient access to customers who travel by car. There is adequate parking space available to part up to 20 cars just in front of the restaurant. Locals also flock to the restaurant as they get homely food, they have adequate separate 2-wheeler parking space.
Dining
There are 2 dining halls, one with Air conditioner (AC) and other without AC. Air conditioned hall has a dining table and chairs for 30 people. General dining hall has 9 tables and chairs for 36 people.
Drinking Water Purifier
Any customer visiting the restaurant is given a glass of safe drinking water. Drinking water is purified and can be served hot.
